SUMMARY:Saturday Songs w/ Sam Gauthier\, Sam Ness\, Christopher Gold and Zach Pietrini
DESCRIPTION:When it comes to the last Gibson show before Mile 9 and the end of SongFest in July\, it doesn’t get much bigger or better than a quartet of artists for Saturday Songs! Join hosts Christopher Gold and Zach Pietrini along with Sam(s) Gauthier and Ness for another stellar night of tunes. \nWho: Sam Gauthier\, Sam Ness\, Christopher Gold\, Zach Pietrini\nWhen: Saturday\, July 30 at 7:00 PM (Doors at 6:30 PM)\nWhere: Gibson Community Music Hall (211 W College Ave\, Appleton)\nAdmission: $10 at the door \nSAM GAUTHIER: \nIf you caught Sam at her Gibson Music Hall debut alongside Nathan Graham during Rhythms & Brews this year\, you know just how talented and creative she is as an artist and storyteller\, and you won’t want to miss her this time around! \nSAM NESS: \nIn his mid-20s\, many people have a quick double-take when meeting Sam Ness. “His hair and beard conjure images of Jim Morrison circa 1969\, and\, like Morrison\, Ness writes poetry that he sets to music and prefers the character of old European cities. But Ness isn’t as lost as Morrison was” (Wisconsin State Journal). But it’s not just his looks that often surprise. After leaving his small hometown of Sauk City\, WI\, Sam has already seen and lived more than most could in several lifetimes. \nCHRISTOPHER GOLD: \nChristopher Gold is a Kentucky-born songwriter living in Wisconsin. Together with his band The New Old Things he has written and recorded folk songs\, country songs\, rock & roll songs\, and everything in between citing a love for songwriters like Townes Van Zandt\, Bob Dylan\, Tom Petty\, John Prine\, and anybody else whose work begins with paper and pen. He travels primarily as a solo act\, carrying on the folk tradition of performances that blend music\, storytelling\, and humor. \nZACH PIETRINI: \nVoted Best Live Act in Milwaukee (Milwaukee Magazine)\, it’s been 4 years since Zach Pietrini showed up on the Milwaukee music scene. Despite being a Chicago transplant\, The Zach Pietrini Band has become a recognized name around town playing featured spots at SXSW\, Summerfest\, and Mile of Music. At the forefront of the Americana resurgence in the north country\, Pietrini quickly distinguished himself with his fearless vulnerability\, prolific writing\, and dynamic live show. “Pietrini’s skill is crafting the kind of Americana that gets right into you with a beguiling friendliness” (88Nine Radio Milwaukee). \n
