Rhythms & Brews: Erin Krebs & Jeff Johnston

FreeRhythms & Brews showcases will be staged each Wednesday starting October 5, 2022 through May 17, 2023 and we’re pleased to bring you these Listening Room Experiences each and every week. It’s a chance to warm up your fall and winter a bit with songs from Mile of Music alumni and others who are traveling from all corners or from just around the corner.
Announcements and music begin at 7 p.m. each week, with the show typically ending between 8:45-9 p.m. Attendees are welcome to bring food in from out downtown restaurants to enjoy before or during the show. The doors open to the public at 6 p.m.
Gibson Community Music Hall joins The Mile of Music Presents Team and the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) and the National Independent Venue Foundation (NIVF) – as well as Bomber Sound Productions and a number of other community supporters – in inviting you to join us on Wednesday nights and sit back and enjoy these wonderful performances.

Erin grew up in Southern Wisconsin, where she showed a love of music at an early age- singing on table tops at age 3. A few years later, she started playing flute and other woodwinds. Erin’s love for music and teaching led her to UW-Oshkosh, and she received her Bachelor of Music Education Degree in 2003. Erin taught music in schools for a decade, and is currently focusing on her career as a vocalist and teaching private lessons on woodwinds, piano, and voice.
Erin often works in a duo with her partner, guitarist Jeff Johnston. With 30 plus years of performing, he has developed a well-traveled musical fluency that compliments Erin’s extensive repertoire and songwriting style. Together, Erin and Jeff provide a dynamic and versatile musical experience for their audience! While she primarily works with Jeff, Erin has a Jazz group, sings in Jeff’s blues band, and with a big band- The Water City Jazz Orchestra. Over the years, she has been a featured guest with several local groups, including: The Oshkosh Symphony Orchestra, The Jazz Orgy, UW-Oshkosh Jazz Ensembles, Fond du Lac Symphonic Band, and more. Erin’s debut album, Love Always Wins, was released in June 2016 and contains 11 original Jazz, Blues, and R&B songs. In 2017, Erin & Jeff released a All is Calm- an EP of Christmas carols and 2 original songs performed by the duo.
