Yipes. Power pop from Wisconsin.
Launched in late 1977, Yipes crisscrossed the Midwest playing hundreds of shows and logging thousands of miles playing 4 sets a night often 6 nights a week, nearly 300 times a year. The hard work paid off and earned Yipes a record contract with RCA/Millennium Records.
Yipes released 2 albums on RCA/Millennium. The first, the self-titled Yipes! was released in 1979 and charted in Billboard’s Top 200. The second, “A Bit Irrational,” yielded a Top 60 single on the Billboard charts.
In 2013, Yipes was inducted into the WAMI Hall of Fame and performed for the first time since its farewell concert in 1981. They enjoyed it so much that they decided to have a reunion show and Summerfest quickly obliged.
Yipes is singer/composer Pat McCurdy; guitarists Andy Bartel and Mike Hoffmann; Pete Strand, bass; and Teddy Freese on drums.
Since October, 2016, there’s been something special happening in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Soul Symmetry have a combined sound of Blues, Funk, and Rock that will be sure to make ya move and groove.
Their music is influenced by Gov’t Mule, Widespread Panic, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Nirvana, Parliament Funkadelic, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, Phish, Santana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and others.
Ivy Ford also known as “The Chicago Blues Kitten,” is a versatile and talented old soul. From singing the blues to being sultry in any genre, she is an indigo artist who’s gift connects those who are around her and those who listen. Ivy Ford commands an energy that is most magical. Ivy Ford kick started her career , opening up for Buddy Guy in 2015. Since then she’s become a staple at the world famous blues club and has performed bi-coastal North and South, ranked in the top 40 of the International Blues Challenge and released an original album solely written and produced, herself. Ivy Ford is the next generation of blues, roots and soul music.

Good Morning Bedlam has become an innovative force in the midwest folk scene.
