Special Tuesday night event!

The Big Lonesome celebrates the release of their new EP, Fascination, in Appleton at Gibson Music Hall with Karate School and The Hook Up!

In late 2016, the band made a concerted effort to tour aggressively in 2017. To that effect, Chad Gosselin cashed in his savings and bought a 12 passenger van and Sam Okon quit his warehouse job. Since January 2017, The Big Lonesome has peddled their brand of story-driven indie rock at over 100 shows in 17 states, including South by Southwest in Austin, TX and a headlining show at the Middle East Downstairs in their hometown of Boston, MA. The band is set to tour in support of their upcoming second EP Fascination this Fall and is already planning a full length follow-up for 2018.
No Cover! 21+ show

If anyone is wondering what the next “basement gem” to come out of Minnesota’s underbelly is going to sound like, they should probably talk to Berndt Evenson. The guitar-wielding gent responsible for Alluvion.
Evenson has been in various musical groups since he was a teenager. While playing numerous festivals and clubs in the surrounding Midwest, he was toiling with the sounds that would soon develop into what is now known as Alluvion. During April & May of 2017, Alluvion toured parts of Midwest, Mountain states, & Pacific Northwest – performing 30+ shows in over a dozen states. His latest release “The Deepest Depths of Shallow Waters”, is a whole new beginning for Alluvion in more ways than one. It is an impressive new turn and continues to show that Alluvion’s releases are anything but predictable.
The Alluvion concert experience features live midi tweaking, guitar & analogue ribbon improvisation, and heavily effect driven layered vocals. Evenson seems determined to assure audience members, that this isn’t typical EDM or basement rock; however, once you’ve seen or heard Alluvion, that becomes delightfully apparent.

The rockin’ fun trio from Milwaukee hits Appleton’s shores!

The Royal Blue

Karm Kerwell was lead vocalist for the Appleton/Madison punk rock band THE MESS (1983-1986). Relocating to San Francisco, he became lead vocalist for the experimental/industrial band SYSTEMS COLLAPSE (1986-1988). After a long hiatus from music, he found himself creating songs again. Some of his “karma Void” songs were a catalyst to jump-start THE ROYAL BLUE.

Jeff Taugner played bass in the Appleton version of THE MESS. After a long, mysterious disappearance Jeff has emerged from obscurity with a vast knowledge of the underground music scene. Reconnecting with Karm, he now plays several fine bass guitars.

Jason Nelson played drums in SEVEN FEET TALL from 1997-2007 (Appleton, WI). From 2007 thru 2012 he played drums with QUARTER LIFE CRISIS (Green Bay, WI). Jason is now playing drums with THE ROYAL BLUE (Appleton, WI).

Sam Luna has been writing music and touring since 2005.

Born in Tuba City, AZ, he began creating music in Kenosha, WI, with the help of J. Hardin and Rogers Randle Jr. He spent the next few years living and playing in Los Angeles, CA, and North County, San Diego, CA. He moved back to the midwest and began recording his first demos with Greg Jackson Combs in Chicago, IL, moved to Los Angeles, CA, and worked with Zambricki Li, and then to Encinitas, CA, to work with Kellen Malloy. In 2010, he met Aaron Duesterhoeft and began recording at SecondHand Studios. They completed their debut album, “Under Construction”, in 2013, and the follow up, “Subject To Change”, in 2015. Sam is now currently recording and touring with a new duet project, FEATherWOLF, featuring Shaun Marie.

Mr. Feedback is a 4-piece music machine based in Appleton, WI. The dirty duo of lick spittin’ bassist Michael Brandt and the 6-string motherplucker Derek Beuchel have been playing together since they knew how to walk. Growing tired of the same old song and dance, they joined forces with the percussion whiz kid and international travel guru Jesse Kay.

The formula was still lacking the proper amount of madness and absurdity, and vocalist Eric Allen dropped into the mix. With more range than a Texan, and less hair than a beach ball, his antics were the final piece in what has become Mr. Feedback.

Purposefully striding through a field of 60’s soul and guitar-driven blues rock, Horace Greene has set up camp in Oshkosh, WI where they brew their own unique brand of alternative rock n’ roll. The 3-piece, consisting of Tony Oakley (Vocals/Guitar), Sam Swetlik (Bass), and Mitch Washebek (Drums), is quickly picking up steam in the Fox Valley area and has plans to expand their sound to the Southern and West Coast of the US.
