Arts Fishing Club: An Appleton Native turned Nashville transplant, Christopher Kessenich fronts the folk-rock collective known as Arts Fishing Club (AFC). Kessenich debuted his first studio EP in 2015 and completed a 1,600-mile WALKING tour from Maine to Tennessee where he played more than 50 shows and shot a documentary as one of “The Walking Guys.” Kessenich later met Matt Siffert (bass) and Peter Eddins (keys/sax) and the group toured throughout the midwest while polishing AFC’s sound and preparing for their first full-length record to be released in 2017. AFC’s live shows are known for their contemplative lyricism and foot-stomping grooves.

SAYERS: Based out of Chicago, SAYERS, according to Midwest Action, is “a damn fine indie rock band.” Their debut album, “Horror Stories”, is produced and engineered by Rob Bochnick (known as the lead guitarist for Glen Hansard) and Mike Hagler (Wilco, Neko Case). The album was released in April of 2018 to unanimous critical acclaim. The album features “tight guitar riffs and passionate vocals” that sometimes reminisces reviewers of an early “Elvis Costello” record (Listen Here Reviews). Notable singles, “Get Naked” and “The Arsonist”, have been featured on radio stations across the US, Canada, and Europe.
Currently, the band is touring the Midwest and playing to sold out crowds in Chicago. Expect to see a new double LP to drop in spring of 2019 from these indie rockers.
