About Sue:
Sue Orfield plays the tenor saxophone with the whimsy of Sonny Rollins, the passion of Kurt Cobain, the soul of Bill Withers, and the joy of Ella Fitzgerald. Along with a compelling mastery of her instrument, Sue brings to the stage a powerful presence and joy of all things musical.
Sue has played with many musical greats over the years, including Bo Diddley, Bobby McFerrin, The Indigo Girls, Ann Wilson (Heart), Dizzy Gillespie, Ivan Neville, Jo Dee Messina, among others. She tours internationally with several groups, including The Tiptons Sax Quartet (formerly The Billy Tipton Memorial Saxophone Quartet) (Seattle/NYC), and Ellen Whyte (Portland).

Sue was voted “Best Horn” by the Washington Blues Society for the years 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004.

Her own group, The Sue Orfield Band (SOB), highlights Orfield’s talents as a composer as well as a player. SOB was voted Best Jazz Band in Volume One’s “Best Of The Chippewa Valley 2009” reader poll, and voted Best Blues Band by the same poll in 2016 and 2017. (Eau Claire, WI)

Sue makes her home in the Chippewa Valley of Wisconsin, and plays locally with bands from all over Wisconsin and Minnesota, including The Chippewa Valley Jazz Orchestra, AcoustiHoo, Catya’s Trio, The Butanes, Two Rivers, and many more.

Möbius Strip is the name of a young Italian progressive jazz-rock band from Sora near Rome and its surroundings, made of Lorenzo Cellupica (keyboards), Nico Fabrizi (saxophone & flute), Eros Capoccitti (bass) and Davide Rufo (drums).
They got their inspiration in the object of the same name: since a Möbius strip geometrically connects the two sides of the same surface by starting a path on one of them, this also became the purpose of the musicians, to combine different styles and influences.
The result is to be heard on MÖBIUS STRIP’s self-titled album, published in the year 2017 on the Musea Parallèle label. Here are five long tracks full of freshness and inventivity, completed by the short composition “Call It A Day”. To be discovered!

Genevieve Heyward:
At a time in her life when most of her peers are worried about college parties and exams, she is pursuing her professional career in the real world. Genevieve has managed to garner the acclaim and experience of a performer a decade her senior. She’s opened for Grammy winners, and shared the stage with national touring acts and performers who have written songs for some of the biggest names in music. Genevieve cut her teeth in cafés, performing on her way to winning multiple talent shows and vocal competitions, playing in front of both small handfuls and crowds of thousands.

Adept at both guitar and piano, Genevieve writes the songs she sings, songs firmly rooted in the contemporary, with faint hints of tendrils running deep toward the influence of old footsteps. She’s as comfortable with Tin Pan Alley as she is today’s teen pop, and tells you with a voice built to bewilder – equal parts soft and smoky, and smooth as fresh Wisconsin butter. It’s a warm and natural sound, absent of pretension and imbued with an honesty that affirms the beneficent nature of her music. Genevieve said it best herself – “I want to play music because people seem to like it, and that makes me happy.”
